Biography

Dr. Agnes Leung is a Paediatric Immunology, Allergy and Infectious Diseases fellow, currently an Assistant Professor at the Department of Paediatrics, The Chinese University of Hong Kong. Dr Leung is an active clinician, educator, and researcher. The goal of her current research is to analyze the patterns, causes, and effects of food allergy in hope to provide effective preventive methods and safe and novel treatment strategies for patients with food allergies. Her team is interested in biomarkers and novel immunotherapy for food allergy, clinical phenotyping and molecular characterization of seafood allergens, and the study of exposome in allergic diseases’ risk and control.

She is the associate editor of Pediatric Allergy and Immunology (PAI) and the editorial board member of the Journal of Allergy and Hypersensitivity (JAHD) and Hong Kong Journal of Paediatrics. She is currently a board member and Junior leader of the Asia Pacific Academy of Pediatric Allergy, Respirology & Immunology (APAPARI) and leads the Asia-Pacific Paediatric Anaphylaxis Registry. She is also the Junior Committee chair of the Asia Pacific Association of Allergy, Asthma and Clinical Immunology (APAAACI), and an active committee member of the World Allergy Organization (WAO).
