Post-translational modifications on the retinoblastoma protein

Our study in Journal of Biomedical Science summarized the post-translational modifications of the retinoblastoma susceptibility protein (pRb). Inactivation mutation on pRb was first identified as a cause of retinoblastoma in children. In addition, retinoblastoma survivors higher chance to develop other cancers. A better understanding of post-translational modifications on pRb is important for developing novel and specific therapeutic strategies.
