Dr Wai Kit Chu has been appointed to serve in the Global Members Committee (GMC) of the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology (ARVO) for 3 years. His work will assess the needs of non-U.S. based members and recommends ways to increase participation in ARVO.
ARVO was founded in 1928 in USA. It is the largest and most respected eye and vision research organization in the world. There are nearly 11,000 researchers from over 75 countries in ARVO, with the aim to advance research worldwide into understanding the visual system and prevent, treat and cure its disorders.
